Au si&egrave;cle dernier, il a presque compl&egrave;tement disparu de nos rivages. Une M&eacute;diterran&eacute;e trop urbanis&eacute;e, trop pollu&eacute;e semblait condamner le flamant. Mais quarante ans de travail de terrain ont abouti au retour de l&#39;esp&egrave;ce. Un travail initi&eacute; en Camargue, puis repris en Espagne, en Italie et aujourd&#39;hui en Turquie.

Le retour des espèces - Le Flamant rose

L&#39;image d&#39;un couple de cigognes, install&eacute;es dans un grand nid, au sommet d&#39;un &eacute;difice en Alsace, renvoie &agrave; une carte postale en noir et blanc, famili&egrave;re aux g&eacute;n&eacute;rations de l&#39;apr&egrave;s-guerre&nbsp;: le symbole d&#39;une r&eacute;gion et de la fertilit&eacute;. Une image qui, pourtant, a bien failli dispara&icirc;tre. En 1974, on ne compte plus en France que neuf couples de cigognes. Mais, petit &agrave; petit, &agrave; partir des ann&eacute;es 1990, elles reviennent. En 2009, on en recense ainsi mille cinq cents couples. Un bel exemple de l&#39;&eacute;nergie vitale de la nature.

Le Retour des espèces - La cigogne blanche

Victime des hommes &ndash; sa fourrure fut impitoyablement convoit&eacute;e et la destruction des for&ecirc;ts le priva de gibier &ndash;, il disparut pendant pr&egrave;s de cent cinquante ans avant d&rsquo;&ecirc;tre r&eacute;introduit en Suisse dans les ann&eacute;es 1970. Depuis, les lynx se sont acclimat&eacute;s, reproduits et ont colonis&eacute; de nouveaux territoires. On en d&eacute;nombre aujourd&rsquo;hui plusieurs centaines entre la France, l&rsquo;Allemagne, l&rsquo;Autriche, l&rsquo;Italie et la Suisse.
